CHOOSING A STYLE
What is the difference between a functional and decorative/faux shade?
Your roman shade can be functional or decorative/faux. A functional shade will be operable and cover the full length of the window. A decorative/faux shade will be a fixed length. Faux roman shades are usually outside mounted above the window, this blocks the least amount of light. Faux shades can be inside mounted, but keep in mind it will partially cover the window and block light. Faux shades are a great cost saving choice for rooms where privacy and light filtration aren't an issue. For more details on determining which option is best for your windows, see the "Determining Mount of Custom Roman Shades" guide above.
What styles of Roman Shades do you offer?
Roman shades can be made in many styles. The most common are Flat and Relaxed. We can also make Scalloped, London, and Balloon shades. Relaxed, London, and Balloon shades, work best with soft drapeable fabrics. Keep in mind the weight/texture of the fabric you're using when choosing your style. See the guide linked below for more details and photographs of each style.
What are my lining choices?
All our roman shades include standard cotton lining. Roman Shades can be lined with Blackout or Flannel Backed Cotton lining for an additional cost.
What different lift systems do you offer?
All of our roman shades are made with the Continuous Bead Loop Clutch Lift System. See the page linked below for more information on how this lift system works.
