General FAQs

We have been creating custom window treatments, bedding and pillows for over 20 years.  We have an A+ Rating with Better Business Bureau.  I also have a shop on ETSY and you can read my 5 Star Reviews by clicking on this link (Reviews).  We pride ourselves on Excellent Customer Service and Communication and the Finest Quality Workmanship.  This ensures that all details are confirmed and accurate before proceeding with an order.  My assistants have been with me for many years and they care about their work as much as I do.  I have 100% Customer Satisfaction as you can see from my reviews.

How do I order samples?

All of our listings feature an option to order samples (see photo below), simply check the box and select add to cart. All samples are $5.00 each, with free shipping within the US.

If you would like a sample of something not listed on the website, please contact me via email (lynn@lynnchalk.com), and I can order it for you directly from the manufacturer!

 How do I request an estimate on my project?

Please fill out the corresponding Quote Form (found here), and I will send you an estimate within 2-7 business days.  I receive many requests for Quotes, so we will send you one as soon as we can.  If you have a specific request or questions, feel free to email me with more details at lynn@lynnchalk.com. 

What is your current lead time?

My lead time usually ranges between 4-8 weeks for Custom Window Treatments and Bedding.  Pillow Orders usually have a lead time of 3-4 weeks.  After Labor Day it gets very busy with people wanting to redecorate for the holidays, so lead times can run 8-10 weeks starting in September.  If you want something by the holidays, please get orders in by September.  If you want to place an order and need it by a certain time, please contact me to verify lead time.

How do I place a custom order?

Under Quote Forms (found here), you will see Links for Drapes, Roman Shades, Valances, Pillows, Cushions and Duvet Covers where you can fill out your information and send it to me.  I will then provide a Quote.  You can also email me at lynn@lynnchalk.com with questions, and photos of your windows.  I will send a Quote with all the details of your project before you place the order.

What forms of payment do you except?

When you are ready to place your custom order, I would send you an invoice through PAYPAL where you can pay with your Credit Card as well as other payment other options available through PAYPAL.  Or you can pay via ZELLE, and I would provide my contact information.  You can also send a check.

How do you ship?

Custom Orders are shipped via Insured UPS shipping.  Shipments rarely get lost, but if this happens UPS immediately reimburses me for the order and I can get a new order made right away.  Pillow Covers are shipped via Insured UPS or Insured USPS depending on the order.  I send you tracking when item is ready to ship.

Do you offer trade discounts?

So many of my clients are in the Trade.  I offer 30% discount on fabrics and 20% discount on trims which are included in my Quotes.  There is no additional Trade Discounts.  If someone wants to provide their own fabric and trim, and you would like a Quote for labor and lining costs only, you can request that.  I would calculate how many yards you would need to order.  The mark up on fabric and trim supplements my labor costs, so if you provide your own materials, my labor costs are a bit more.
